With great honour and privilege, GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, hosted an interactive session with Mr. Jatinder Mohan Singh Sidhu, Member of Parliament, House of Commons, Canada. Mr. Jatinder Sidhu, popularly known as Jati Sidhu, with nearly 30 years of community activism and voluntary service, is the face of Indian diaspora on the Canadian soil. Dr. S.S. Thind, Secretary, College Governing Council; Dr. S.S. Deol, Principal; and Dr. H.S. Brar, College Registrar; welcomed the esteemed guest. Dr. S.S. Deol, Principal, highlighted the rich history, achievement streak and immense contribution of the college in skill development of not just the Sadhar region, but also Punjab as a whole, through education. Mr. Jati while interacting with the enthusiastic crowd emphasized the unparalled role of education as not only a foundation of individual success but an eye opener for bringing about empowered equality. He advised future leaders to make education as the air beneath their wings of dreams rather than money. On behalf of the Canadian Parliament, the college was extended a grant of two lakh rupees alongwith an appreciation letter, for the upliftment of meritorious-cum-needy students. Mr Inder Mohan Jit Singh, President and Director Incharge, Vardhman Textiles Limited, was the Guest of Honour. The session was also graced by Dr. Satwinder Kaur, Principal, College of Pharmacy, Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, Principal, College of Education, Dr. Jagjit Singh Brar, Dr. Ram Prasad, Dr. Rakesh, S. Udham Singh and S. Avtar Singh.
